See [Jain Tirthankar murtis](https://www.tilakmandirwala.com/collections/jain-tirthankar-statues) ## The murti is the reason the temple exists You plan the mandir or derasar around its murtis: the garbhagriha, the sightlines from the mandap, the height of the pedestal, the proportions the priests and the community care about. Everything else in the building answers to them. We specialize in white marble murtis made to those dimensions. The master sculptors we work with in India carve murtis every day, in the traditional proportions, and we follow each one from the first drawing to the crate at your site. ## What we make for temple projects Murtis for the main shrine and the side shrines, made as a set so the stone and the finish match across the temple. ### Jain derasars Tirthankar murtis in the seated meditation posture, in white marble, sized for the gabhara and the pedestal you have drawn. ### Hindu mandirs Ram Darbar and Shiv Parivar sets, Ganesha, Lakshmi, Hanuman, Radha Krishna, Durga and more, each in the form and posture the temple follows. ### Matched sets Several murtis carved from the same marble and finished together, so the main shrine and the side shrines read as one. ### Ready murtis When the timeline is tight, we ask the sculptors we work with whether a suitable murti is already carved and send photographs of the actual piece. ## How it works with a temple The committee or the priest gives the deity, the posture and the size. We confirm the iconography and the proportions with the sculptor and with you before any carving begins, and you get progress photos as the murti takes shape. We handle the export crating, the shipping and the delivery to the site, and we can invoice your firm or the temple trust directly. The murtis arrive crated and ready for the pran pratishtha, and for your next temple we already know your standards. ## Also for architects and designers The same end-to-end service, for other kinds of projects. You get one point of contact from the first sketch to the crate at your site. - 1 ### Send a brief, or ask what is ready A drawing, an elevation, a reference image or a few lines about the space. - 2 ### Photos, options and one price We send photos of ready pieces or past work, confirm size and stone with the sculptor, and quote one delivered price. - 3 ### Carved, with progress photos The master sculptors we work with carve the piece, and you see it take shape before it is finished. - 4 ### Crated, shipped, delivered Export crating, shipping by air or sea, and delivery to your office, the site or straight to your client, ready to unload and place. ## For your specification Stones Makrana white marble, Vietnam white marble, black stone and Dholpur pink sandstone. Which stone suits a design and a size is confirmed with the sculptor before we quote. Sizes Most designs from about 1 ft up to 5 ft. For projects, 2 to 5 ft is where these pieces do their best work. Timing Carving usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and a simpler piece can be quicker. Shipping comes on top: typically about a week in transit by air, longer by sea, chosen per piece. A piece that is already made typically reaches you in about two weeks door to door, depending on where you are. Price You get one price in your currency covering the piece, export crating and delivery to your site. Whether import duty is included (DDP) or paid on arrival (DAP) is agreed with you for each shipment. Crating Each statue travels in a heat-treated wooden export crate carrying the ISPM-15 mark, braced and padded for a heavy stone piece. The commercial invoice, packing list and crate treatment certificate go with the shipment. Where we ship We ship to any country with a port, including the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe, Singapore, Japan, Dubai and the Middle East, and Australia. ## Questions architects ask ### Can you carve murtis to the dimensions in our drawings? + Yes. Send the drawings with the height of the murti and the pedestal, and the deity and posture. We confirm with the sculptor that the form works at that size and in that marble before we quote. ### Who checks the iconography? + We confirm the form, the posture, the attributes and the proportions with you and the temple before carving starts, and you see progress photos so the priests can review it as it is carved. ### Which marble do you use for temple murtis? + White marble: Makrana white, the warm white marble of Rajasthan, or Vietnam white, a cooler and brighter white. Black stone is also used for some murtis. ### How long does a temple murti take? + Carving usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, and a simpler piece can be quicker. Shipping comes on top, chosen per piece. Tell us the pran pratishtha date and we will say what fits it. ### Can you invoice and ship to the temple trust directly? + Yes. We can invoice your firm or the temple trust, whichever suits the project, and ship straight to the temple site. ### Do you ship murtis outside India? + Yes, to any country with a port, including the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe, Singapore, Dubai and the Middle East, and Australia. Each murti travels in a heat-treated export crate, braced and padded for stone. ## Tell us about the temple The deities, the sizes and the opening date are enough to start. We reply with photos of past work, options and one delivered price.
