## Sri Venkateswara as Tirupati Balaji

This is Sri Venkateswara (Tirupati Balaji, the presiding form of Vishnu at Tirumala) rendered as a standing (sthanaka) moolavar in the classical Dravidian temple idiom. The murti carries the full four-armed iconography devotees look for: the Sudarshana chakra held aloft in the upper-right hand, the Panchajanya shankha in the upper-left, the lower-right hand extended in varada mudra toward the feet, and the lower-left hand resting on the hip in katyavalambita. A tall conical kiritamukuta crown and the prominent white U-shaped tirunamam mark the face unmistakably as Balaji.

Carved from jet-black granite, the same dense, fine-grained stone South India's oldest shrines are built around, the statue takes a deep mirror polish that no marble can match. Every surface, from the layered temple jewellery and garlands to the pleats of the dhoti, is worked by hand by the master sculptors in our network, then finished to a high-gloss sheen that catches temple lamplight and daylight alike.

## Four feet as a temple-entrance installation, and commissioning yours

At 4 feet, this is a commanding installation piece meant for a temple entrance mandapa, a grand home shrine, or an institutional gifting occasion. Set on a stepped granite pedestal, the murti reads with the weight and stillness of a consecrated moolavar.

Tilak Mandirwala curates and commissions each piece to order through a trusted network of independent master sculptors. We handle design refinement, iconographic accuracy, quality control, and safe delivery and installation, so you receive a murti that honours the tradition it comes from. Dimensions, finish and detailing can be tailored to your space on request.
