## A blessing Ganesh in mirror-polished black marble

Cast in dramatic jet-black marble, this 24-inch Ganesh is a study in contrast, the dark, mirror-polished stone catching light along every curve while the deepest carving recedes into shadow. Ganesha is seated in relaxed lalitasana, his right hand lifted in the abhaya mudra of blessing and fearlessness, a bowl of modak cradled in one palm and the ankusha and pasha held in his upper hands. His faithful mushak looks up from the ornate lotus base.

Tilak Mandirwala commissions each piece to order from the independent master sculptors we work with, hand-carved from a single dense block. Drawing a true mirror polish out of stone this hard is the mark of an experienced hand, so no two statues are ever identical. The fine tool marks left on the unpolished faces are kept as honest evidence of the making.

## Jet black as a statement in contemporary interiors

The jet-black finish makes this a natural statement piece for contemporary interiors, where it reads as sculpture as much as devotion, striking against a light wall, in a modern mandir, or on a console in an entryway. At 24 inches it commands a room without overwhelming it.

Ganesha, Vighnaharta, the remover of obstacles, is invoked at every beginning: a new home, a new venture, a new year. Installed in a home temple or pooja space, this murti anchors that daily intention, the raised hand a quiet reminder of protection and grace. Made to order; reach out for size, finish, and lead-time details.
