## A reclining Ganesha, Vighnaharta at ease

Reclining rather than seated, this Ganesha reimagines the beloved Vighnaharta in a moment of ease, leaning back against a cushioned couch, one leg drawn up, a modak held lightly in a lower hand. Carved from jet-black marble and finished to a deep mirror polish, the piece trades the usual devotional formality for a relaxed, contemporary presence that anchors a modern room.

Every detail is worked by hand by master sculptors in Jaipur: the fanned ears, the crown's filigree, the pleated dhoti falling over the couch, and the tiny mushak looking up from the base. The four arms carry the traditional attributes, the trunk curls to the left, and a single broken tusk marks the lord of beginnings. The stone's very fine, non-porous grain lets the polish catch light along every curve without a single dead-black patch.

## Reverence without the expected, in jet-black marble

Jet-black marble is the choice for those who want reverence without the expected. Against a pale wall or a warm-wood console, the mirror-black surface reads as sculpture first and idol second. It looks luxurious, minimalist and unmistakably intentional. Dense, opaque and cool to the touch, the darker tone also hides dust far better than a white stone in a lived-in room.

At eighteen inches it settles comfortably on a console, a mandir shelf, or a low sideboard, substantial enough to command attention yet easy to place. Whether it presides over a contemporary living room or a home temple, the reclining posture invites calm: Ganesha at rest, removing obstacles without hurry. Made to order, it can be commissioned in alternative finishes on request.
