## Bal Ganesh with his laddu, in warm pink sandstone

This 15-inch Bal Ganesh is carved in warm Dholpur Pink Sandstone, catching the Lord in his most tender form: a chubby-cheeked child crawling forward, one hand cupping a round laddu while his little mushak looks up expectantly at his feet. The blush-pink stone, quarried in Rajasthan and hand-finished to a soft satin glow, lends the piece a gentle, nursery-warm quality that sculptors reserve for depictions of the divine as a child.

Every detail is worked by hand by an independent master carver: the delicate mukut resting on his crown, the layered beaded necklaces across his chest, the armlets and anklets, and the trunk curving playfully toward the sweet in his grasp. The natural rose veining drifting through the stone means no two pieces are ever identical, a mark of genuine hand-carved stone rather than cast or moulded reproduction.

## Ganesha as an infant, remover of obstacles

Bal Ganesh, Ganesha as an infant, is beloved as the remover of obstacles at the very start of life, which makes this form a cherished blessing for children, new beginnings, and growing families. The playful crawling posture and the laddu (his favourite offering) carry the affection and abundance devotees associate with the child-god.

At 15 inches it sits comfortably on a nursery shelf, a study table, or a warm-toned home mandir, elevated on its own oval stone base. It arrives ready to place and makes an especially meaningful gift for a naming ceremony, a child's blessing, or a housewarming.

As a made-to-order piece curated by Tilak Mandirwala and carved by independent Jaipur sculptors, minor variations in veining and tone are natural and celebrated. Each Bal Ganesh is one of a kind.
