## A five-foot standing Hanuman in Dholpur pink sandstone

Standing a full five feet, this Hanuman is carved in a single upright posture, his right hand lifted in abhaya mudra, the gesture of fearlessness and blessing, while the left rests on his gada. The vanara face is rendered with the calm, watchful expression that devotees know well, framed by a carved prabhavali halo, layered rudraksha and bead necklaces, and a sculpted dhoti knotted at the waist. It is a piece meant to be seen from a distance and approached with reverence.

Dholpur Pink Sandstone carries a warm, earthy blush that softens in daylight and glows at dusk, a tone quite unlike the cool white of Makrana or the grey of granite.
