A serene standing Buddha in Vitarka (teaching) mudra, hand-carved in Indonesian lava stone (andesite). The volcanic stone’s dark grey, fine to medium grain and natural micropores give a dignified, weather-ready presence suited to outdoor gardens and courtyards. Subtle tool marks and crisp edges are preserved, with a restrained, matte surface that avoids glossy reflections. At 24 inches, the statue fits on plinths or tabletops and complements stone, gravel, or foliage settings. Ideal for meditation corners, entry courts, or small landscape niches, this piece balances devotional calm with durable craftsmanship designed for year-round display.
