Standing nine inches tall, the seated figure keeps the warmth and presence of the temple original while paring back the ornamentation to a simplified crown, making it an everyday devotional piece rather than a festival centrepiece. Ganesha is carved in the classic sukhasana pose, four-armed and gently potbellied, with the abhaya-mudra hand raised in blessing and a modak cradled in a lower palm. The trunk curls softly to the left, and a small mouse, his faithful vahana, rests at the foot of the lotus base. Every detail, from the beaded necklaces to the pleats of the dhoti, is worked by hand so the murti reads as devotional first and decorative second. The stone is Makrana white marble, the same fine-grained, luminous marble prized for Rajasthani temple work. Finished to a soft satin polish, it holds a bright natural-white tone with the faint warmth that distinguishes Makrana from cooler imported marbles, and its translucence lends the carved surfaces a gentle inner glow under lamplight. ## Makrana marble at compact scale, and commissioning yours Its size makes it genuinely versatile. Settled on a desk it becomes a calm focal point through the working day, and it is equally at home on a car dashboard, a bookshelf altar, or offered as a thoughtful housewarming or festival gift. Placed on a chowki or raised shelf at heart-to-eye height, it honours the traditional way of keeping a deity elevated. Each Dagdusheth Ganpati is made to order by our master sculptors in Jaipur, so minor variations in grain and hand-finishing are part of the character of a genuinely handcrafted piece.
