## Krishna as Murli Manohar, flute at his lips

Bhagwan Krishna stands here as Murli Manohar ("the one who enchants with his flute"), captured in the timeless tribhanga stance, his body curving gracefully at neck, waist, and knee as he raises the bansuri to his lips. Hand-carved from a single block of Makrana white marble, the same legendary Rajasthani stone that clads the Taj Mahal and Vrindavan's grand temples, this 3-foot statue brings the serene, playful presence of the Vrindavan Krishna into your home.

Every detail is worked by hand: the peacock-feather crown (mukut), the layered vaijayanti garland falling to the knees, the fine pleats of the dhoti, and the anklets and armlets that mark him as the divine cowherd of Braj. The one leg crossed lightly over the other, the gentle half-smile, and the flute held in both hands together evoke the moment his music drew the gopis and the whole of nature to stillness.

Makrana marble is prized for its cool, luminous natural white and its remarkable density. It takes fine detail beautifully and mellows with age rather than yellowing. Finished in a soft matte that keeps the stone's subtle grain visible, the surface catches indirect light gently, so the figure glows quietly wherever it stands.

At 36 inches, the piece is scaled to be the presiding murti of a home mandir, a pooja-room centrepiece, or a graceful focal point in a living-room shrine. It rests on an integrated carved lotus base, ready to be installed and adorned.
