## Kamala, the lotus-borne Lakshmi

This 30-inch murti portrays Kamala, the lotus-borne, lotus-bearing form of Goddess Lakshmi, revered as the giver of abundance, grace, and auspicious fortune. Standing serenely upon a full-blown lotus, she raises two lotus blooms in her upper hands while her lower right hand offers abhaya (the gesture of fearlessness and protection) and her lower left extends varada (the gesture of boon-granting and generosity). Every element of the iconography is rendered faithfully, from the crown and radiant halo to the layered necklaces and the softly draped sari.

The piece is hand-carved in Vietnam White Marble, a bright, fine-grained stone prized for its clean, cool undertone and porcelain-like luminosity. Unlike the warmer cream of Makrana or the blue-grey cast of Italian marble, Vietnam White reads as a calm neutral white that lets the goddess's expression and the intricate lotus detailing take centre stage. Light catches the translucent calcite gently, giving the surface a quiet inner glow rather than a hard shine.

## Curated through TMW's sculptor network, at 30 inches

Tilak Mandirwala curates each statue through its network of independent master sculptors, overseeing the design, stone selection, and finishing so that the carving arrives temple-ready. The satin polish preserves authentic chisel and hand-tooling detail across the drapery and jewellery while keeping the skin surfaces smooth, the mark of a piece finished by hand rather than machine.

At 30 inches, this Kamala Lakshmi is scaled for a home mandir, a dedicated pooja space, or a considered corner of a living room, and makes a meaningful housewarming or wedding gift. It ships carefully packed and can be placed on a pedestal or an elevated altar to keep the deity above ground level, as tradition prefers.
