This 30-inch piece renders him in his classic Mayil Vahana form: crowned and single-faced, poised atop his peacock mount in a composition that reads as both martial and serene. Every devotional marker is here. The Vel, the divine spear that is Murugan's constant identifier, rises in one hand; the other opens in abhaya mudra, the gesture of fearlessness and blessing. Beneath the peacock's foot coils the subdued serpent, the vanquished ego, while the bird's raised tail feathers fan out to form a natural prabhavali, a halo of carved plumage framing the deity. The face is calm and youthful, the crown and jewellery finely detailed by hand. ## Cool-toned Vietnam white marble, and commissioning this Murugan The statue is carved from Vietnam White Marble, a bright, cool-toned white stone prized for its clean, even grain. Its slightly cool undertone keeps the finish looking crisp and luminous rather than creamy, and the satin polish lets soft light glow gently from within the translucent calcite while preserving the tool detail across the peacock's feathers and the drapery folds. At 30 inches on its lotus pedestal, the piece sits comfortably as the centrepiece of a home pooja room, a temple sanctum, or a devotional corner where you want a single commanding form. It suits South Indian households and Murugan devotees especially, but its clean lines and neutral stone read well in almost any interior. Like everything at Tilak Mandirwala, this Murugan is made to order. We work with a network of independent master sculptors in and around Jaipur, and each piece is carved, finished, and quality-checked before it is packed and delivered to you. Size, stone, and finish can be adjusted to your space. Share your vision and we will shape the rest. ## Specifications - **Material:** Vietnam White Marble - **Finish:** Soft polish (satin) - **Colour:** Cool White - **Height:** 30 inches - **Width:** 20 inches - **Depth:** 16 inches - **Weight:** 72 kg - **Ideal for:** Pooja room centrepiece, Temple, Statement décor Stone, size and finish are all changeable — these are the specifications of the piece as shown. ## Media ### Images (1) - https://vptrobfqdvauunfvodxw.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/tmw-media-assets/Statue%20product%20images/vietnam-white-marble-murugan-on-peacock-mayil-30in.webp (primary, concept render) All media is public and CORS-open — fetch directly, no signing or proxy needed. ## Part of - [Statues](https://www.tilakmandirwala.com/collections/custom-marble-statues) ## Related pieces - [Handcrafted Vietnam White Marble Seated Murugan with Peacock Statue, 22in](https://www.tilakmandirwala.com/products/vietnam-white-marble-seated-murugan-peacock-blessing-22in) - [Handcrafted Vietnam White Marble Murugan with Valli and Deivanai Statue, 2ft](https://www.tilakmandirwala.com/products/vietnam-white-marble-murugan-valli-deivanai-2ft) - [Handcrafted Black Marble Murugan on Peacock with Wings Spread Statue, 33in](https://www.tilakmandirwala.com/products/black-marble-murugan-peacock-wings-spread-33in) ## Enquire about this piece - WhatsApp, message pre-written: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=919766532408&text=Hi!%20I'd%20like%20a%20quote%20to%20have%20this%20design%20made%3A%20Handcrafted%20Vietnam%20White%20Marble%20Murugan%20on%20Peacock%20(Mayil%20Vahana)%20Statue%2C%2030in.%20Product%20link%3A%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tilakmandirwala.com%2Fproducts%2Fvietnam-white-marble-murugan-on-peacock-mayil-30in - Tell us the size, the stone and where it is going.
