Handcrafted Black Marble Tirupati Balaji Statue, 2ft

This 2-foot Tirupati Balaji is carved in the deep, mirror-dark tradition that South Indian devotees know so well — the standing sthanaka moolavar of Lord Venkateswara, upright and utterly still. All four arms are here and true to the shrine at Tirumala: the Sudarshana chakra held aloft in the upper-right hand, the Panchajanya shankha in the upper-left, the lower-right hand turned downward in varada toward the feet, and the lower-left resting on the hip in the katyavalambita pose. A tall, tapering kiritamukuta crown rises over the face, and the broad white U-shaped tirunamam is drawn clean across the brow — the single detail that tells you, at a glance, this is Balaji and no other Vishnu form. The piece is hand-carved from black marble and finished to a high mirror polish, so the stone reads as a rich, unbroken jet-black that catches soft light along every fold of the garments and every petal of the layered flower garlands. Goddess Lakshmi sits on the chest, the ornamental jewellery is worked in fine relief, and the murti stands elevated on a carved lotus pedestal. Because each statue is made to order through our network of independent master sculptors, the carving detail, proportions and finish are shaped by hand rather than moulded — small, honest variations are part of what makes it a devotional object and not a mass-produced casting.
