Thirty inches and up is a dedicated shrine room, and the 3- and 4-foot pieces on mandap and grand singhasan bases are for halls, mandals and Ganeshotsav pandals — remember that a prabhavali arch adds height above the figure, so measure the ceiling and the doorway, not just the plinth. Ganpati is conventionally placed facing east or north.
