Modelled on the beloved Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati of Pune, this 18-inch murti brings one of India's most cherished festival icons into your home mandir. The seated Ganpati is carved in bright Makrana white marble and finished with a tall gilded crown, layered necklaces, armlets and a jewelled halo-arch in shimmering 22k gold leaf — the unmistakable Dagdusheth look that draws lakhs of devotees to Pune each Ganesh Chaturthi. Every piece is made to order in Jaipur by the independent master sculptors we have worked with for years. The white marble body — the face, trunk, potbelly and softly draped dhoti — is left in its natural luminous stone, so the warm gold ornaments read all the more radiant against it. Fine chisel detailing runs through the throne scrollwork, the crown filigree and the folds of cloth. The iconography follows tradition: four arms, the lower right raised in abhaya (blessing), the lower left cradling a modak, a broken right tusk, and the faithful mushak (mouse) seated at the base gazing up at his lord. Ganpati rests on an ornately carved singhasan throne set on a stepped marble base.
