Makrana White Marble Dagdusheth Ganpati on Grand Singhasan with Prabhavali, 4 ft

Modelled on the beloved Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati of Pune — one of Maharashtra's most venerated and photographed Ganesh forms — this four-foot murti brings that grand, festival-scale darshan into a permanent Makrana marble installation. Ganesha sits in the commanding seated posture the Dagdusheth tradition is known for: an ample, benevolent potbelly, four arms holding the ankush, the modak and the abhaya blessing, the trunk curling gently toward the sweet, and the little mushak vahana waiting at the base with its bowl of laddus. Every element is carved to be recognised at a glance by anyone who has stood before the original in Budhwar Peth. The piece is throned on an elaborately worked singhasan flanked by guardian lions and framed by a full prabhavali torana — the arched aureole that turns a statue into a shrine. The arch, crown, breastplate, waistband and armlets are highlighted in 22k gold leaf against the white stone, so the murti glows the way a decorated utsav-murti does on the festival days, while the marble beneath stays serene and cool. It is a form designed to be the focal point of a room, not a shelf ornament. The stone is Makrana White Marble, the same quarry that clad the Taj Mahal — a brilliant neutral white with a faint warm undertone, dense fine calcite grain, and a soft satin polish that catches light without the glassy plastic look of a machined finish. The sculptors leave the subtle honesty of hand-work in the drapery folds and the deep carving of the torana, where a chisel hand is meant to be felt. At four feet seated, this is a temple-scale commission suited to a mandir hall, a large home puja room, or an institutional prayer space where the deity is installed as the presiding murti. Its weight and footprint ask for a fixed pedestal or altar platform rather than a casual tabletop.
