Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about our custom sculptures

How long does a custom Shiva statue take?

Typically 6–10 weeks, depending on size and detail. Smaller pieces (under 2 ft) and a plain Shiva Lingam ship faster; a large Nataraja or a 4 ft standing Shiva take longer because of the fine carving. We share progress photos at each milestone so you stay involved.

What size Shiva statue should I choose?

For a home pooja room, 12–24 inches sits well on a shelf or altar. For a living room or foyer centrepiece, 2–3 ft has real presence. For a temple or garden, 3–5 ft and up. Send us your spot on WhatsApp and we will suggest a height that fits.

Which form of Shiva can you carve?

All the major forms — a meditating Shiva on Kailash, Nataraja in his cosmic dance, a Shiva Lingam with yoni base, Ardhanarishvara, Neelkanth, Pashupatinath, and the Shiva-Parvati pair. Share a reference image and we will carve that exact form, or help you pick the one that suits your space.

Can I customise the trishul, snake, and other details?

Yes. The trishul, damru, crescent moon, third eye, serpent, and rudraksha malas are all hand-carved and can be emphasised or simplified to taste. You can also choose the base — a plain plinth, a rocky Kailash mount, or a lotus. Tell us your preference before we begin.

Which marble can I choose? Do you make these in stones other than white?

You can choose from several stones: Makrana white marble (the classic warm-white — the stone used in the Taj Mahal), statuario (Italian white with bolder veining), Indian green marble, and black marble. Most Shiva statues are commissioned in Makrana white for home shrines, or black marble for the Lingam — black is the traditional colour for Shiva — but we craft in any stone you specify. Tell us your preference on WhatsApp before we start.

Is the Shiva Lingam suitable for daily abhishekam?

Yes. We finish the Lingam and yoni base for water abhishekam, with a smooth channel so milk and water drain cleanly — ideal for Sawan and Mahashivratri worship. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use, and avoid harsh chemical cleaners on a natural-stone piece in active puja. We will guide you on sealing if you want extra protection.
