This hand-carved Makrana white marble murti captures the Pattabhishekam — the coronation of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, the moment the Ramayana closes on. Ram and Sita are seated side by side on a single carved singhasan (royal throne): Ram crowned as king with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his bow resting at his side, Sita enthroned to his left holding a lotus. It is a composition of settled majesty rather than motion — the divine couple at rest in their sovereignty, framed by a carved prabhavali arch. The piece is carved from Makrana white marble, the same dense, fine-grained stone used for the Taj Mahal and the Dilwara temples. It reads as a brilliant neutral white with the faintest warm undertone, ages without yellowing, and is finished here to a soft satin polish that keeps every chisel line and fold of drapery legible while lending the surface a gentle devotional glow. The throne, the arch, the crowns, garlands and jewellery are all worked in the same block by hand. At 36 inches (3 feet) tall, this is a substantial installation piece — sized for a temple sanctum, a dedicated home mandir, or a coronation-themed shrine where the murti is the clear focal point.
