About This Piece

This murti presents Bhagwan Swaminarayan in his teacher-form: seated in serene darshan, the right hand raised in abhaya to bless the devotee while the left hand holds the Shikshapatri — the code of conduct he composed for his followers. Together they carry a single message: the guru who blesses is also the guru who instructs. The tilak-chandlo on the forehead, the finely wound paag (turban), the layered pearl garlands and the flowing royal-ascetic robes are all rendered exactly as the Swaminarayan Sampradaya depicts him. The piece is hand-carved from a single block of Makrana white marble — the Albeta grade prized for its bright, even, faintly warm white and its dense, close grain. This is the same Rajasthani stone chosen for many of India's most enduring temple murtis, valued because it takes fine detail without chipping and holds a soft satin polish that glows rather than glares. Hairline grey veining, kept to a whisper across the surface, is the natural signature of genuine Makrana stone. Every element — the calm face, the pleated dhoti, the beaded malas and the cushioned asana with its lotus-foot base — is worked by hand by master sculptors from our Jaipur network. The satin finish is raised slowly so the marble keeps its translucence, letting light settle into the folds of cloth and the curve of the blessing palm. At 30 inches the murti is scaled for a study-shrine, a home mandir, or a well-appointed pooja room — large enough to anchor daily darshan and aarti, restrained enough to sit gracefully on a carved wooden altar. It also makes a deeply meaningful gift for a devotee, a house-warming (griha pravesh), or a Sampradaya milestone. Made to order and finished to your requirements, this Swaminarayan murti is created in the spirit of our promise — Aapki Kalpna, Hamari Rachna, your imagination, our creation. Share your preferences on size, finish, or optional hand-painted detailing and we will craft the piece and deliver it ready for pran pratishtha.
