Handcrafted Black Marble Ashtabhuja Mahalakshmi Statue, 36 inch

This 36-inch murti depicts Mahalakshmi in her rarer eight-armed **Ashtabhuja** form — the same commanding aspect venerated as Ambabai in the great Kolhapur temple of Maharashtra. Where the familiar Lakshmi holds four hands, here the Goddess of abundance stands fully arrayed with eight, radiating both grace and sovereign power. She rises upright on a full-bloom lotus, crowned and richly ornamented, her expression serene and welcoming. Each of the eight hands carries a canonical attribute, carved crisply so the iconography reads at a glance: paired lotus blossoms held high, the conch (shankha) and discus (chakra), the mace (gada), the kalash overflowing with prosperity, a cascading stream of coins, and the open varada-mudra of boon-giving. The arms are balanced left and right in perfect symmetry — a genuine test of a sculptor's skill, and one this piece meets cleanly. The statue is worked from deep jet-black marble finished to a mirror polish, so light travels across the draped sari and layered jewellery in long, liquid highlights. The dark stone lends the form a contemporary, gallery-like gravitas while every fold of cloth, strand of the coin-garland, and petal of the lotus base stays sharply defined under close inspection.
