This 24-inch Nritya Ganesh is carved from a single block of Makrana white marble — the same fine, luminous stone that clads the Taj Mahal. The Lord of Beginnings appears here in his dancing form, body swaying through a graceful tribhanga as one leg lifts clear of the lotus beneath him. His four arms move in easy counterpoint, one lifted in the gesture of blessing while another cradles a modak, and his trunk curls softly to one side.
