About This Piece

This 24-inch Nritya Ganesh is carved from a single block of Makrana white marble — the same fine, luminous stone that clads the Taj Mahal. The Lord of Beginnings appears here in his dancing form, body swaying through a graceful tribhanga as one leg lifts clear of the lotus beneath him. His four arms move in easy counterpoint, one lifted in the gesture of blessing while another cradles a modak, and his trunk curls softly to one side. Every detail is worked by hand by the independent master sculptors we commission in and around Jaipur. The layered crown, the beaded girdle and armlets, the pleats of the dhoti caught mid-movement, and the small mushak seated attentively at his feet are all coaxed from the marble with chisel and rasp before the surface is brought to a soft satin polish. Faint grey hairline veins and the gentle warmth of Makrana stone are left visible — the honest signature of natural marble rather than a cast. At two feet tall, the statue holds a room without overwhelming it, making it well suited to a home mandir, a dedicated puja room, or a living-room console where it becomes a quiet focal point. The dancing posture carries a note of joy and auspicious new beginnings, which is why Nritya Ganesh is a favoured choice for housewarmings and milestone gifts. Because each piece is made to order, small variations in vein pattern and finish are natural and unique to your Ganesha. We are glad to advise on proportions, base options, and finishing before carving begins, and every statue is packed and shipped with care from Jaipur.
