Handcrafted Makrana White Marble Kaliya Mardan Krishna Statue, 30-inch

This 30-inch statue captures one of the most beloved episodes of Krishna's childhood in Vrindavan — the Kaliya Mardan, the subduing of the venomous serpent Kaliya who had poisoned the waters of the Yamuna. The young Krishna is shown dancing gracefully atop the many hoods of the serpent, one foot raised in a rhythm of effortless victory, his flute lifted to his lips even in the midst of the dance. The multi-hooded Kaliya coils beneath, its snake-heads bowed, while stylised waves of the river swirl around the base.
