About This Piece

The Panchmukhi Ganesh is one of the most revered and rarely carved forms of Lord Ganapati — five faces (pancha-mukha) radiating in every direction, watching over the devotee from all sides, with ten arms bearing the ayudhas that mark him as the remover of obstacles. This 24-inch murti renders that tantric form in full detail: each of the five elephant faces is individually crowned, the ten hands hold the axe, noose, goad, mace, kamandalu and a bowl of modak, and the faithful mushak (mouse) rests attentively at the base. The statue is hand-carved from a single block of Makrana white marble — the same legendary Rajasthani stone chosen for the Taj Mahal, prized for its dense, fine crystalline grain and a luminous natural white that only deepens with age. A soft satin polish is worked into the surface, so the marble keeps its stone warmth and reveals the subsurface glow of real calcite rather than a glassy shine. The carving preserves honest tool detail: crisp jewellery, layered dhoti folds, and the fine linework of five separate crowns. Because the Panchmukhi form faces all four directions plus the zenith, it is traditionally installed as the presiding deity of a home mandir or temple — a placement supported by Vastu, where a well-formed Ganesh at the threshold of worship invites auspicious beginnings. At 24 inches it holds its own as a centrepiece murti without overwhelming a domestic shrine. Every TMW piece is made to order by an independent master sculptor working in the Jaipur marble tradition, so minor natural variations in grain and hairline veining are part of the stone's authenticity, not flaws. Supplied ready for installation and daily puja.
