Hand-carved as a four-armed Mahalakshmi, her upper hands lift a pair of blossoming lotuses while her lower hands rest in the abhaya (fearlessness) and varada (boon-giving) gestures, the timeless promise that the household she watches over will never want for grace or abundance. A tiered lotus base and a finely scrolled plinth raise her gently above the altar, exactly as a devotional idol should sit.
